Secret Service probes right-wing radio host for threatening Hillary Clinton

Published

The U.S. Secret Service is eying fringe right-wing radio host Pete Santilli, who recently said he wanted to shoot former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the vagina.

Secret Service spokesperson told Talking Points Memo on Monday that the agency was “aware of Mr. Santilli’s comments and will take the appropriate follow up action.” The spokesperson noted that Santilli had a right to free speech, but added, “the Secret Service has a right and an obligation to determine what a person’s intent is when making comments like this.”

Santilli received a flood of media attention after Right Wing Watch reported he called for sexual violence against Clinton. He said he wanted to “shoot her right in the vagina” for her involvement in several bizarre conspiracy theories.

Santilli on Monday addressed the controversy he provoked and reiterated his call for sexual violence against Clinton.

“I don’t even want to disgrace this segment by referring to what I said on my show ’cause I say what I say and I think you already know that,” he said, according to Media Matters. “We’ve already had discussions about that. I say what I say. But I’m going to tell you this: I was very specific in my commentary that’s all over the press today in that regard — that I don’t want her to die. I’ve actually done something and said something that’s less humane: I want her to suffer.

“Whereas people like you, who are rational and logical and lawful and constitutional want to bring the death penalty to her by hanging for treason. I want the opposite: I want to shoot her in the vagina, and let her suffer right before my eyes on behalf of all of the people who have died at her hands.”

Bill Maher rips Trump and ‘the gang that couldn’t do treason straight’ on Real Time

Published

HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher ripped the incompetence of the Trump administration after acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney confessed that there was a quid pro quo with Ukraine in Rudy Giuliani's search for foreign election assistance.

"It's not just that he's always breaking the law, it's that he obviously wants you to know about it," Maher said. "The Joker doesn't want to get caught this bad."

"This is Trump's definition of three-dimensional chess, 'I'm going to distract you from impeaching me by committing more crimes," he said.

"It's like he comes home and Melania says to him, 'you have lipstick on your color,' and he says, 'you should see my d*ck,'" Maher said.

The National Basketball Association was protested on Friday for bowing to pressure from China.

The NBA has been harshly criticized for standing by the oppressive regime instead of standing in solidarity with the pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.

"Producer and activist Andrew Duncan bought 300 tickets to tonight's Nets vs Raptors game and is hosting hundreds of Chinese pro-Democracy activists to protest the NBA," New York magazine correspondent Yashar Ali reported Friday. "They're all wearing 'Stand With Hong Kong' T-shirts."

Trump polling close friends over whether he should fire Mulvaney: report

Published

on

President Donald Trump is considering firing Mick Mulvaney, his acting White House chief of staff and director of the Office of Management and Budget, The Atlantic reported Friday.

"Mick Mulvaney's job was in danger even before his disastrous press conference yesterday, and his equally disastrous attempt to walk that performance back," The Atlantic reported. "The fumble could not have been more poorly timed: According to multiple current and former White House officials, many of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to relay private conversations, Trump has been steadily souring on Mulvaney for weeks."
