Secret Service probes right-wing radio host for threatening Hillary Clinton

The U.S. Secret Service is eying fringe right-wing radio host Pete Santilli, who recently said he wanted to shoot former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the vagina.

Secret Service spokesperson told Talking Points Memo on Monday that the agency was “aware of Mr. Santilli’s comments and will take the appropriate follow up action.” The spokesperson noted that Santilli had a right to free speech, but added, “the Secret Service has a right and an obligation to determine what a person’s intent is when making comments like this.”

Santilli received a flood of media attention after Right Wing Watch reported he called for sexual violence against Clinton. He said he wanted to “shoot her right in the vagina” for her involvement in several bizarre conspiracy theories.

Santilli on Monday addressed the controversy he provoked and reiterated his call for sexual violence against Clinton.

“I don’t even want to disgrace this segment by referring to what I said on my show ’cause I say what I say and I think you already know that,” he said, according to Media Matters. “We’ve already had discussions about that. I say what I say. But I’m going to tell you this: I was very specific in my commentary that’s all over the press today in that regard — that I don’t want her to die. I’ve actually done something and said something that’s less humane: I want her to suffer.

“Whereas people like you, who are rational and logical and lawful and constitutional want to bring the death penalty to her by hanging for treason. I want the opposite: I want to shoot her in the vagina, and let her suffer right before my eyes on behalf of all of the people who have died at her hands.”

Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) believes President Donald Trump confessed to bribing or extorting Ukraine in an effort to dig up dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden.

The president told reporters Monday morning at the United Nations that he had withheld foreign aid from Ukraine as he discussed alleged corruption involving Biden, the Democratic presidential frontrunner.

"It's very important to talk about corruption," Trump. "If you don't talk about corruption, why would you give money to a country that you think is corrupt?...It's very important that on occasion you speak to somebody about corruption."

Trump’s jumbled response to Ukraine scandal is a strong signal of what’s to come: columnist

On Monday, President Donald Trump denied allegations that he extorted the president of Ukraine for information about Joe Biden. “It’s a ridiculous story,” Trump said during an appearance at the United Nations.

The controversy emerged after an anonymous whistleblower in the intelligence community logged a complaint with their agency about improper behavior by the president on a phone call with a foreign leader. “It’s a partisan whistleblower,” the president added.

Previously, the president's lawyer Rudy Giuliani had traveled to Ukraine to dig up dirt on Joe Biden. Critics worry that during a conversation with the president of Ukraine about rooting out corruption in his country, Trump suggested he offer information about Biden in exchange for funding.
