Update: Davis filibuster succeeds amid chaos as Republicans fail to legally pass anti-abortion bill
The Texas Senate gallery on Tuesday night made it known they were not happy to witness Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst shut down a 10-hour long filibuster by state Sen. Wendy Davis (D-Fort Worth). The legislative chamber was filed with boos, jeers and chants after Dewhurst announced Davis had violated the filibuster rules.
