
Police in Portland, Oregon arrested a man on Saturday after he allegedly shot another man during an altercation over stolen Christmas presents.
According to authorities, Martin Luther Hartley shot Keytar Donesouda during a fight outside an unrelated home. Donesouda's wounds were not considered to be life-threatening.
Donesouda and his girlfriend, Xaykham Chanthavong, told hospital employees that the shooting occurred during a fight in which Hartley accused him of having stolen Christmas presents.
Hartley was arrested on charges of attempted murder, assault, possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
Donesouda's girlfriend, Xaykham Chanthavong, was also arrested at the hospital. Authorities allege that the truck she used to transport her boyfriend to the hospital was stolen. She has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
