Tennessee sheriff’s deputy fired and arrested for raping woman during traffic stop

A former sheriff’s deputy in Tennessee has been arrested for allegedly forcing a woman to perform oral sex on him during a traffic stop.

Former Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy Willie Marshay Greer, 33, was charged with aggravated rape and official misconduct last Thursday. He was out on $50,000 bond the next day.

Greer allegedly pulled over a woman for speeding on January 5 and raped her in his patrol car.

The victim said Greer handcuffed her and told her she was going to jail. He then allegedly said, “I could let you go, but you’d owe me.” The victim said the officer took her to a secluded area, where he forced her to perform oral sex.

Greer let the woman go, and she contacted police. Greer admitted to having sex with the woman, but claimed it was consensual. An internal investigation determined his statements were “false and misleading.”

“As soon as we were notified by the victim, we did start our CID investigation which very quickly led to this conclusion,” Sheriff Jim Hammond told WDEF 12 News. He said Greer was immediately fired and charged following the investigation.

Greer had only worked at the sheriff’s department for three months. He previously worked at the Chattanooga State Police Department.

"I just realized I would kick myself if I didn't just ask you, before I let you go, if you noticed the fly on Vice President Pence's head at the time during the debate?" asked Maddow, as Harris burst out laughing. "Or if that was something only — we could see it at home. Could you see it sitting next to him?"

Harris slowly nodded.
