Investigators in Texas on Sunday released a sketch of a man who they believe murdered a lesbian couple and left their bodies near a dumpster in Galveston.
A beer deliveryman found the bodies of 24-year-old Britney Cosby and her longtime partner, 24-year-old Crystal Jackson on Friday beside a dumpster outside Fisherman’s Cove store near Highway 87, KHOU reported.
"What did they do to you for you to kill my sister?" LeQuetia Jackson told KTRK. "You beat my sister up, and you just -- you messed her up to the point she can't breathe no more."
Investigators said that evidence indicated that the women were killed in different places, and in different ways. The bodies were later left beside the dumpster.
Crystal Jackson worked as a security guard, and Cosby had been employed as barista at a local Starbucks. Family members described the couple as soul mates.
The couple had recently traveled Galveston for Mardi Gras, according to relatives.
On Sunday, police released a sketch of a black male suspect in his late 20s or early 30s. He was described as 5 foot 11 inches to 6 feet tall, and had a mustache and soul patch. He was the last person believed to have been seen with the victims.
Surveillance video from Fisherman’s Cove was being examined for possible evidence. Investigators have declined to call the murders a hate crime.
