A local Chicago reporter and anti-Obama protester got into a scuffle on Wednesday, and the brief fight was shown live.
The unidentified protester rammed into CBS 2 chief correspondent Jay Levine as he was reporting live on a Democratic National Convention fundraiser. The protester grabbed Levine's microphone and shouted that Obama was a "war criminal" and a "corporate whore." The station quickly cut away.
The incident was also caught on camera by NBC 5 political reporter Mary Ann Bergerson Ahern, who was reporting on the event as well. Levine can be seen taking a swing at the protester as another man tackles him to the ground.
According to NBC, the protester was not arrested.
Levine commented on the incident on Twitter, writing that reporters are "sitting ducks out there. You have to be ready for anything."
