Ex-Navy chaplain: Un-biblical gun laws make California 'vulnerable' to invasion by Japan

Dr. “Chaps” Gordon Klingenschmitt, a disgraced former Navy chaplain, warned recently that the Bible had instructed people to be armed so they could defend themselves against "left wing crazies."

On a recent episode of his Pray in Jesus Name broadcast, Klingenschmitt suggested that a shooting at a FedEx facility in Georgia earlier this month could have been avoided if the company had not violated biblical teachings by making the area a gun-free zone.

"The only time the Bible talks about disarming the population were when the people were vulnerable to invasion!" the former Navy chaplain explained. "That's why the Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment, because they recognized that the people ought to be safe and secure from invasion."

"At least from without," he opined. "That's why Japan never invaded California because the Californians carried guns. But not anymore. They might be vulnerable to that. At least, now they are rotting from within."

After thinking for a moment, Klingenschmitt determined that there was a "demonic spirit of murder and suicide and abuse" that reminded him of a story in the Book of Judges, when the people of Israel had been disarmed and could not defend themselves against an invasion.

"And so in this case, the Bible talks against disarming the citizens!" he exclaimed. "It says all the citizens ought to be armed so they can defend themselves against left-wing crazies who go in there and try and assault God's people."

While concluding the segment, Klingenschmitt prayed that God would "restore sanity" and allow people to carry guns in the workplace to "defend our coworkers against demonic attack by people who are filled with the spirit of murder and suicide."
