Fox News commentator Karl Rove said to a conference in California earlier this month that he suspects that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is brain-damaged from a fall and concussion she suffered in 2012.

According to the New York Post, Rove was taking part in a panel discussion when he said that Republicans should keep the issue of Benghazi alive and that he believes voters should be privy to Clinton's medical information from the accident and subsequent recovery.

“Thirty days in the hospital?" said the erstwhile GOP kingmaker, although Sec. Clinton was only hospitalized for three days. "And when she reappears, she’s wearing glasses that are only for people who have traumatic brain injury? We need to know what’s up with that.”

Clinton was suffering from a stomach bug in December of 2012 when she lost her balance and fell in her Washington, D.C. home. She was treated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia for a blood clot resulting from the fall.

Rove reportedly circled back to the putative brain damage several times during his presentation, in which he appeared alongside CBS correspondent Dan Raviv and former White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.

A Clinton spokesperson told the Post, "Please assure Dr. Rove she’s 100 percent.”

“Karl Rove has deceived the country for years," the spokesperson continued, "but there are no words for this level of lying.”
