The Weather Channel has "proved it can be just as bad as the liberals over on MSNBC," according to Newsbusters.
The conservative media watchdog is outraged that meteorologist Carl Parker made a joke at the expense of former Republican president candidate Mitt Romney.
On Monday, Weather Channel host Sam Champion and Parker discussed what they planned to wear for Halloween.
"I haven't really worked on one yet. Although I think I know what I'm going to do as of the beginning of this show. But I still have to put it together," Champion said.
"I think I’m going to be Big Bird," Parker remarked, as Champion bellowed out in laughter. "Try to irritate Mitt Romney."
During the 2012 presidential race, Romney vowed to cut funding for PBS while insisting that he loved Sesame Street's Big Bird.
Newsbusters wasn't surprised that Champion found Parker's joke so funny.
"Champion’s over-the-top endorsement of Parker’s Big Bird costume should come as no surprise given that he was known for using his former Good Morning America platform as an opportunity to push his liberal global warming hysteria," the website wrote.
But conservatives shouldn't be too certain that the Weather Channel has joined the vast liberal media conspiracy. Weather Channel co-founder John Coleman told Fox News he thinks global warming is a myth, and that "more polar bears are alive and happy today than we've had in 100 years."
The channel also happens to be co-owned by Romney's private equity firm, Bain Capital.
