American passengers overpower shooting suspect aboard French train

The man suspected of opening fire Friday on board an Amsterdam-Paris train, injuring two passengers, is from Morocco or of Moroccan origin and is known to French intelligence services, said a police source.

The 26-year-old suspect was overpowered by two American passengers on the high-speed train and arrested when the train stopped in northern France.

Counter-terrorism investigators have launched a probe.

"What was said consistently undermined Mr. Trump’s case, but more deadly was what has never been said," Noonan writes. "In the two months since Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry was under way and the two weeks since the Intelligence Committee’s public hearings began, no one, even in the White House, has said anything like, 'He wouldn’t do that!' or 'That would be so unlike him.' His best friends know he would do it and it’s exactly like him."

President Donald Trump blamed his senior adviser Kellyanne Conway for her husband's criticism of him.

Conservative attorney George Conway is an outspoken critic of the president, despite his wife's work managing the 2016 presidential campaign and nearly three years of service in the White House, and Trump lashed out at him during a phone interview Friday on "Fox & Friends."

"First of all, Kellyanne is great," Trump said. "She is married to a total whack job. She must have done number on him. I don't know what Kellyanne did to that guy."

"I don't even know him, I met him for a second," Trump continued. "He's got to be some kind of a nutjob. She must have done some bad things to him, because that guy is crazy."
