America's angry, right-wing cranks were quick to respond to President Barack Obama's Sunday night speech about national security in the wake of last week's terrorist attack in San Bernardino, California.

The president's calm, measured appeal to Americans' higher values was roundly rejected by conservatives, who took to social media to voice their disgust.

Republican presidential candidate and former reality TV star Donald Trump announced that he would live-tweeting the president's speech, but was barely able to fire off a handful of responses before the speech was over.

Others were just angry that the president "defends Moslems."
