'That would be discriminatory': Donald Trump rips NC's anti-trans bathroom law as bad for business
Donald Trump speaks to NBC's "Today Show" (screen grab)

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump argued that efforts to strip the bathroom rights of transgender people could cost businesses big.

On Thursday's Today Show, Trump said that transgender reality star Caitlyn Jenner would be welcome to use the ladies room in Trump Tower.

"You know, there's a big move to create new bathrooms," Trump explained. "The problem with that -- for transgender [people] -- first of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country."

"Leave it the way it is," the candidate recommended.
