The Daily Show came under fire on Monday for its choice of joke following the Supreme Court's ruling striking down Texas' anti-abortion law.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the backlash began when the show's Twitter account posted, "Celebrate the #SCOTUS ruling! Go knock someone up in Texas!" after the 5-3 ruling by the high court, as seen below.
The post was quickly panned by both conservatives and liberals:
