Three people were arrested in Manchester, England on Thursday for racist harassment of a fellow tram passenger that was caught on video.

According to the Irish news site The Journal, a 16-year-old boy, an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were detained and questioned following the incident, which reportedly started when their target, an unidentified man, told them to stop cursing on the trolley.

"Get deported," one of the suspects can be seen saying while standing in the back of the tram. "You're a muppet. Get off the tram now." When the victim asks how old he is, the suspect responds, "Get off the tram now. Bro, I'll waste you. I'll waste anyone. Don't chat sh*t when you're not even from England, you little f*cking immigrant."

At one point, one of the suspects can be seen throwing beer toward the victim, prompting a witness to say, "There's a baby there. There's no need for that. There's absolutely no need for that." The suspects are then hurried off the train as the victim moves forward.

As Mashable and other outlets have reported, there has been an upswing in reports of racist incidents around Britain since last week's non-binding referendum vote for the country to leave the European Union.

In response, one Facebook user compiled an album of more than 100 social media posts detailing instances of abuse, some of which can be seen below.

The Sun posted unedited footage of the incident here. Footage posted by NBC News can be seen below.
