Despite the fact that the Republican National Convention is less than a week away and despite the fact that he's still searching for a vice presidential nominee, Donald Trump can still find the time to do the things he really loves: Suing people.
The Associated Press is reporting that Trump is suing former campaign aide Sam Nunberg for a whopping $10 million for allegedly breaking his nondisclosure agreement and leaking confidential information to the press.
"In a court filing obtained by The Associated Press, Nunberg accuses Trump of trying to silence him 'in a misguided attempt to cover up media coverage of an apparent affair' between senior campaign staffers," the AP reports.
Why file this lawsuit in the middle of a presidential campaign? The Washington Post's Robert Costa says it's because Nunberg made Trump really angry and he just couldn't help himself:
Former Trump campaign adviser Nunberg, over a controversy over some racist Facebook posts he wrote, has not been shy about speaking his mind since leaving the Trump Train.
Among other things, Nunberg told The Daily Beast last year that Trump's campaign is "doomed," and he has also been open about his disdain for former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. In fact, Nunberg had the following to say about Lewandowski in a GQ article published last month: "I literally will suck the fucking blood out of his skull by the time I’m done with him."
