Alex Jones has uncorked some wild conspiracy theories in his time, and his InfoWars website just posted what might be the dumbest Hillary Clinton conspiracy of all-time.
According to InfoWars, the media is covering up the fact that Hillary Clinton is in shockingly poor health because it won't point out that the presidential motorcade features... wait for it... an ambulance.
"An ambulance is a part of Hillary’s motorcade, which underscores the candidate’s major health issues," the website breathlessly tells us. "In a video by Infowars correspondent Millie Weaver, an ambulance is seen following behind Hillary’s campaign bus with its lights on, indicating it’s part of Hillary’s motorcade as she visited Cleveland, Ohio on Labor Day weekend."
There's just one problem with this assertion: An ambulance is a staple of every presidential motorcade.
After running a simple Google search for "presidential motorcade ambulance," you will come across articles such as this one from The Daily Mail that inform us that "Presidential motorcade... always include an ambulance in case the U.S. chief executive suddenly falls ill or is targeted by an assassination attempt."
In fact, as The Atlantic showed in a 2011 article, an ambulance always brings up the rear of a presidential motorcade, along with vehicles containing a counter-assault team and a hazardous materials mitigation vehicle.
You'd like to think that InfoWars would have done a tiny bit of research on this before publishing a ridiculous report that makes wild, unsupported accusations... but if the website did such a thing, it wouldn't be InfoWars.
