According to Politico, Roger Stone, a former adviser and close confidante of President Donald Trump, will testify in a closed-door House Intelligence Committee hearing next month.

Stone's lawyer said he will testify on July 24 as part of the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Stone told Politico that he plans to testify to refute claims made by Hillary Clinton's former campaign manager John Podesta in the latter's hearing on Tuesday.
