President Donald Trump has accused former President Barack Obama of "colluding" with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

In a series of Monday morning tweets, Trump accused Obama of doing "NOTHING" about Russia's efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election, and suggested that he's the one who should be investigated for collusion.

"The reason that President Obama did NOTHING about Russia after being notified by the CIA of meddling is that he expected Clinton would win and did not want to 'rock the boat,'" Trump wrote. "He didn't 'choke,' he colluded or obstructed, and it did the Dems and Crooked Hillary no good."

Trump's reference to "choking" refers to a quote from a former Obama administration official who told the Washington Post he and his team "choked" last week that he felt like in response to last year's Russian campaign to meddle in the presidential election.

Late last week, the Post reported that Obama was reluctant to make a full public announcement about the depths of the Russian hacking campaign because he believed both that Hillary Clinton was likely to win the election anyway, and he worried that Trump and the Republicans would claim he was trying to "rig" the election in Clinton's favor if he did go public with evidence of Russian hacking.

A little bit after these tweets, Trump demanded an apology because four months of investigating Russian interference into the election "zero 'tapes' of T people colluding."
