HBO's "Last Week Tonight" blistered conspiracy monger and talk radio howler monkey Alex Jones this week for turning his trademark combination of random conspiracy theories, dramatic paranoia and using it to make a fast buck by selling a plethora of branded products, from vitamin supplements to survival gear and "taint wipes."
Host John Oliver called Jones "the Walter Cronkite of shrieking batshit gorilla clowns" and explained that Jones has built a multimillion dollar empire out of bilking paranoid Americans out of their money.
"Two thirds of his money comes from selling his products," Oliver said, "and there are a lot of them."
Everything, he said, from "Bill Clinton rape whistles" to protein powders, child tranquilizers and wipes for the "perineal area."
