The creators of Game of Thrones have announced their next project — and Twitter is pissed.

On Wednesday, HBO announced that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the showrunners of the popular fantasy series, are working on a new dystopian series titled “Confederate” where the South won the Civil War.

Twitter immediately melted down over the premise of the show, where slavery remained legal.

“Confederate, Man in the High Castle, whatever — alt histories where genocide wins are boring. Genocide has already won, like, a lot,” Twitter user Connor Goldsmith wrote.

“Even if Confederate is critical of current day racism, do we need another series about the suffering of POC, written by white men?” another wrote.
