Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach, the vice chairman on Donald Trump’s voter fraud commission, apparently thinks states are conspiring against the president.
In a segment on a Breitbart podcast, Kobach claimed that 20-something 's request for voter rolls have something to hide.
As per Right Wing Watch, when the Breitbart host asked Kobach if he thought states might be trying to hide anything, Kobach responded affirmatively.
"They’re certainly hiding something, it’s crystal clear," Kobach said.
"I think you may have some states—California being one that jumps to mind—that have said, or at least the secretary of state has said, ‘We aren’t going to provide this data. In that case, the leadership of the state may be saying, ‘Look, we don’t want the extent to which our voter rolls are inaccurate or filled with people who are ineligible to vote such as aliens, we don’t want that being made public," Kobach said, parroting President Donald Trump's debunked claim that millions of undocumented immigrants vote in California.
These claims have been revealed as false by many elections experts, one of whom claimed history proves how small an issue voter fraud is.
“We know historically that this almost never happens. You’re more likely to get eaten by a shark that simultaneously gets hit by lightning than to find a non-citizen voting," David Becker, executive director of the Center for Election Innovation & Research and former Justice Department civil rights attorney, told McClatchy last November.
