Transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner, who has outraged many in the LGBT community for her support for President Donald Trump, expressed shock and indignation on Wednesday after the president announced that he opposed allowing transgender people to serve in the military.
"There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us," Jenner wrote on Twitter. "What happened to your promise to fight for them?"
The responses to Jenner were fiercely negative, as many asked her how she could possibly be shocked that the president would throw the trans community under the bus given his past flip-flops on several key issues.
