'Offenses aren't negated for good behavior': Texas Dem wants Trump impeached despite Harvey lip service

In a phone interview with Headline News, Texas Rep. Al Green (D) said regardless of his visit to speak to Hurricane Harvey victims, nothing can change his mind about getting President Donald Trump out of office.

"Do you think President Trump is doing a good job during this crisis?" host Carol Costello asked -- a question Green summarily ignored.

"As to impeachment," Green said, "the facts that regulate whether or not the president will be impeached will not change. They don't change because of the hurricane."

Costello asked again if Green would change his mind about impeachment.

"No one is above the law, so it doesn't change it," Green responded. "Other people who commit offenses, they don't have their offenses negated because of good behavior."

Despite Texas' governor praising Trump's response to Hurricane Harvey, many have criticized the president for using the megastorm to promote himself.
