White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday explained a viral photo that showed Chief of Staff John Kelly with his head in his hands during President Donald Trump's bombastic speech to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday.

In an interview on Fox News, the hosts of Fox & Friends asked Sanders to respond to the photo, which shows Melania Trump sitting near Kelly, who appears to be struggling to watch the speech.

"He seems to be with the president all the time," host Brian Kilmeade noted. "And he's either holding his head or showing exasperation or staring at the ground. And people are looking at those photos and saying he's unhappy with the president."

Sanders defended Kelly by insisting that he had a "great chemistry" with Trump.

"He read the speech ahead of time," co-host Ainsley Earhardt speculated. "So, any reaction, it might be because he's tired."

"I would certainly not read anything into that picture," Sanders replied. "Just like the rest of us, we're tired tryinig to keep up with this president who is working hard every day to help America."
