Roger Stone told press outside of his hearing that Democrats were curious about his relationship with the hacker known as Guccifer 2.0. He explained that he has released all of his conversations with Guccifer publicly and that he has nothing to hide.
He went on to say that the hack was obviously not conducted by Guccifer 2.0 or anyone affiliated with the Russians because "computer science" shows that the documents were taken from an external drive and given to hackers. Stone did not reveal how he knows that information, nor whether the documents were hacked before being put on the drive.
The allegation that it was an "inside job" harkens back to the Seth Rich conspiracy theory pushed by Alex Jones and various other right-wing activists. It has been unproven.
He went on to plug his new employer InfoWars and referred to Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) as "Jackie Smear."
Stone released his entire opening statement prior to being questioned.
