During Tuesday's briefing, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed President Donald Trump was "joking" when he challenged his secretary of state to an IQ test duel.
“I guess we’ll have to compare IQ tests," Trump told Forbes when asked about Secretary of State Rex Tillerson allegedly calling him a moron, "and I can tell you who is going to win."
During a CNN segment shortly after the White House press briefing, however, host Brooke Baldwin pointed out that this is far from the first time Trump has discussed IQ.
"If the press secretary thinks it's a joke, he's actually mentioned it like almost two dozen times," Baldwin said.
She then launched into clips of the 22 times Trump has discussed IQ on Twitter and in speeches prior to making his comments to Forbes about Tillerson.
Trump has spoken highly of his own IQ and that of his cabinet, and trashed those of journalists and political foes. Notably, he took digs at now-Energy Secretary Rick Perry's intelligence multiple times both online and during speeches while on the campaign trail.
