‘Creeping fascism — this is not a drill’: Internet freaks out over Trump threatening to shut down NBC
President Donald Trump threatened to revoke NBC’s broadcast license after the network reported he asked for a dramatic increase in nuclear weapons.
NBC News reported Tuesday morning that Trump asked for a tenfold increase in the U.S. nuclear arsenal during the same July 20 meeting that prompted Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to call the president a “f*cking moron,” which the same network first reported last week.
Trump responded by threatening to punish the network, which broadcast his reality show “The Apprentice” and invited him to host “Saturday Night Live” during the Republican primary.
With all of the Fake News coming out of NBC and the Networks, at what point is it appropriate to challenge their License? Bad for country!

How does he keep threatening the First Amendment but no one can seem to hold the Republican Party to account? How and why?

He can't do this, but it's important that Trump would want to shut down outlets that report on his scandals. https://t.co/ksRPGXincc

You expect this rhetoric from an authoritative dictator, not the president of the United States. https://t.co/3t9fwLGGoU

everything else aside here… I think the president of the United States doesn't know the difference between a TV network and a TV station https://t.co/iVHi2o7Kcy
