A senior staff writer for Broadly, Vice’s vertical devoted to “women’s experiences,” is under fire Thursday after BuzzFeed published transcripts of a sexist conversation he engaged in with former Breitbart editor Milo Yiannapoulos.

Mitchell Sunderland participated in an email thread with Yiannapoulos and conservative firebrand Ann Coulter, where he asked the former Breitbart editor to target New York Times columnist Lindy West, Buzzfeed reports. He also offered a video from Broadly, for which he was an editor at the time, to Baked Alaska, instructing the alt-right social media darling to “do whatever with this on Breitbart. It’s insane.”

After the report surfaced, journalists and media talking heads took to Twitter to call for Sunderland’s removal.

In a statement, Vice said they’re looking into the allegations.

"We are shocked and disappointed by this highly inappropriate and unprofessional conduct. We just learned about this and have begun a formal review into the matter,” a spokesperson told Buzzfeed.
