Black athletes get kicked off American Airlines flight after being falsely accused of stealing blankets

Two black professional basketball players were kicked off an American Airlines flight after they were falsely accused of stealing blankets.

The Associated Press, via the Guardian, reports that Trahson Burrell and Marquis Teague, who play for the minor-league NBA G League team the Memphis Hustle, were booted off a flight after a black flight attendant accused them of stealing blankets that were given to them by two first-class passengers.

The two players argued with the flight attendant that they didn’t steal any blankets, and the flight attendant subsequently refused to fly with them on the plane because they made him feel unsafe.

American Airlines apologized to the players who were falsely accused of stealing the blankets, and subsequently put them on a first-class flight to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. However, the players subsequently missed the team’s Christmas dinner, which prompted an angry Twitter tirade against American Airlines from the team’s assistant coach, Darnell Lazare.

“It’s 2017 and a Flight attendant for [American Airlines] sees two young black athletes with blankets from first class, his first comment is ‘did you steal them,'” Lazare wrote. “How about you teach people to get the facts first before jumping to conclusions?”

Jeffrey Epstein spent almost all of his time abusing underage girls: ‘It was his full-time job,’ says victim’s lawyer

Jeffrey Epstein apparently did nothing but sexually abuse underage girls, according to one victim's attorney.

The sources of the financier's wealth are murky, as he had only one known client -- women's clothing magnate Les Wexner -- but attorney Brad Edwards said that seems to have freed Epstein up to engage in nonstop predatory conduct, reported Vanity Fair.

“It was his full-time job,” said attorney Brad Edwards. “We have not found anyone who has provided information about a legitimate business he was engaged [in].”

ABC News broke a story just after midnight Thursday about a former IT consultant of Jeffrey Epstein's who resigned because he couldn't take some of the things he was seeing on Epstein's private island compound.

The island, which has been called "pedophile island" by locals, had "topless women everywhere.

"There were photos of topless women everywhere," said contractor Steve Scully, who began working for Epstein in 1999 and continued for six years. "On his desk, in his office, in his bedroom."

‘Names are going to start coming out’: New report says more elites will be exposed in the Epstein case — and ‘DC is on edge’

Will other powerful people — presumably men — get taken down as a result of the sex trafficking case against Jeffrey Epstein?

That’s the hope of many closer followers of the story, but it’s far from clear what, if any, fallout there will be. Epstein’s connections to Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump have raised suspicions about potential evidence of their wrongdoing, such suspicions remain unproven. Alan Dershowitz has already faced accusations of being involved in Epstein’s crimes, though he denies the charge vigorously.

But a new report from Vanity Fair’s Gabriel Sherman says that “DC is on edge” over the Epstein case, and any elites who have run in his circles could be involved. Dozens of girls, if not more, are believed to be involved in his alleged sex trafficking, and lawyers for some of the women who have accused Epstein are strongly suggesting that other high-profile figures will be implicated.
