Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) took to CNN Wednesday to respond to the Tuesday Twitter feud that broke out with Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The exchange erupted after The Hill misquoted the White House press secretary after the briefing. The erroneous tweet cited Sanders saying that the White house "begged Democrats" to get involved in tax reform. Lieu responded to the tweet and @PressSec saying she was a liar. Sanders told Lieu to stop tweeting and go to work.

Speaking with CNN Wednesday, Lieu said that because The Hill tweet wasn't correct, his response also wasn't. "I'm totally fine admitting errors," Lieu told Alisyn Camerota. "I wish the Trump administration would also admit errors when that happens. And I would urge the press secretary to give her own advice to me, also to her boss."

Camerota clarified that Lieu meant that Trump should also spend less time tweeting and more time doing his job.

"Oh yes, I would love if the president did that," Lieu said.
