Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway lavished praise on the hosts of Fox & Friends for giving President Donald Trump a "platform" to spread his message.
During an interview on Thursday, Conway noted that the co-hosts of Fox & Friends had been named the "most influential" media personalities in 2017 by the bloggers at Mediaite after the Republican-controlled Congress passed a bill that will slash taxes for corporations.
"You guys were ranked the number one most influential media figures," Conway crowed. "And I think influence and impact are important because we're just trying to get our message out and we appreciate the platform."
"Even though you're very tough," she added.
Moments after Conway's interview, Trump weighed in on Twitter.
