CNN’s Brianna Keilar on Wednesday mocked the truck driver who covered his face while blocking a live shot of Donald Trump playing golf, joking “we can see you” despite obvious efforts to obscure his identity.
“Yesterday, we were able to see him golfing, CNN got exclusive video of the video out on the course,” Keilar told CNN correspondent Sara Murray. “Talk about the mysterious happenings, our photographer tried to get a shot.
“Mysterious is a good way to put it, Brianna,” Murray began. “We know this administration has particularly sensitive about catching the president on the course. They don't invite reporters to come get a shot of him—even on his first day of vacation. that's something that President [Barack] Obama did occasionally when he was in office.”
“Today was a little bit different because suddenly a big white box truck showed up and blocked the shot,” she continued. “It's not clear who commissioned or was driving the truck, but safe to say it's not a spot you can park as a pedestrian. They keep a close eye on the perimeter to those close to the president.”
Murray admitted the final result was “not the shots we were hoping for of the president on his golf vacation.”
“Did you see the driver there, Sara, blocking his face?” Keilar asked. “Did you see that?”
Murray laughing, replied “clearly they don't want you to know who is driving this truck or where this truck came from.”
“We can see you, mister!” Keilar joked. “We can see you!”
