On January 26, 1998, President Bill Clinton uttered the eleven-word lie that set him up for his impeachment trial.
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewisnky," Clinton told the press from a White House podium amid allegations, originally published in the Drudge Report, of his affair with then-intern Monica Lewinsky.
The rest, as they say, is history.
