MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said anyone familiar with the Trump White House knows Michael Wolff's bombshell new book is credible.
The "Morning Joe" host said many of the anecdotes collected in Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House line up with the claims he's been making about Trump and his chaotic administration.
"There are so many things in the book that we've said on this show over the past several years, and people have been shocked and stunned and deeply saddened in the White House that we've said those things -- and they're written out on the page exactly how we said it," Scarborough said.
He said it would be difficult for the president and his allies to challenge Wolff's claims as dishonest, because too many people in Washington knew the truth.
"It's just -- I mean, he's been doing the same thing for a year and a half or two years," Scarborough continued. "The White House has been protesting, and yet there it is in black and white -- and nobody on the Hill can come out and say it's a lie that's spent any time with Donald Trump, because it's not a lie. It rings true."
