First Lady Melania Trump has apparently taken an unscheduled trip to Mar-a-Lago while President Donald Trump is in Davos, Switzerland at the World Economic Summit, said The Daily Beast on Friday.

Mrs. Trump was originally scheduled to join the president in Davos, she has canceled her trip due to what a spokeswoman called "scheduling and logistical issues."

"Melania, the least-unpopular member of the first family, has kept a reclusive public schedule since Jan. 12, when The Wall Street Journal published a report alleging that in the closing days of the 2016 presidential campaign, President Trump’s personal attorney paid $130,000 in hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels," wrote The Daily Beast's Scott Bixby.

Pres. Trump and Daniels reportedly had an "ongoing relationship" that began in the months after Melania Trump gave birth to the couple's son Barron.

According to CNN, the first lady's private plane was spotted in Palm Beach on Thursday and a law enforcement official confirmed that Mrs. Trump left the airport along with a security motorcade after arriving.

Rumors have flown for months that there is discord in the Trumps' marriage. Slovenian-born Mrs. Trump -- a former model -- appeared stony-faced and grim at her husband's inauguration and has been seen publicly swatting away the president's attempt to hold her hand.

Bixby wrote that Mrs. Trump has "rarely been seen, in public or private, in the two weeks since the Journal story was published." The first couple's wedding anniversary on Jan. 22 went unremarked-upon by both the first lady and the president.
