Colbert sums up 2018 Groundhog Day perfectly: Punxsutawney Phil saw who the president was and killed himself

America's most famous groundhog saw his shadow and signaled seven more weeks of winter on Friday, but The Late Show's Stephen Colbert reminded viewers that regardless of the results of this year's Groundhog Day, we're stuck with President Donald Trump for at least three more years.

"They did the whole ceremony," the host said, "and apparently Punxsutawney Phil came out of his hole, saw who was president and took his own life."

"What's the point?" Colbert mused.
