Marjorie Taylor Greene is projecting when she accuses others of being self-absorbed: Ex-Bush strategist
Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) went off on another rant this week to reporters accusing her colleagues of being self-absorbed, but Matthew Dowd, a former George W. Bush aide and Democratic lieutenant governor candidate in Texas, said that Greene is projecting.
Acosta showed his video where he asked Greene why she is protecting Steve Bannon and she claimed she's doing it because she cares about "the American people." Acosta said that it seems very clear that it's all about protecting Bannon.
"Of course," said Dowd. "But actually, the funny thing is about that is — talk about a person that's projecting as more you could ever imagine. Self-absorption? Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't even sit on a committee and she constantly holds these press things. Talk about someone who's self-absorbed and unwilling to admit reality at any point in time. That's the problem. The GOP no longer — I can't find one, maybe Liz Cheney, and maybe Adam Kinzinger, who are interested in actual public service and the idea of servant leadership of none of them. It's all a reality show to them. It's all how can I say something crazy or do something crazy to sort of highlight my own self in this. There's no longer a desire in the Republican Party for public service."

NBA star Kyrie Irving refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine which ultimately led to being side-lined by the Brooklyn Nets. The NBA mandates players be vaccinated since they come in such contact with each other while playing.
"Given the evolving nature of the situation and after thorough deliberation, we have decided Kyrie Irving will not play or practice with the team until he is eligible to be a full participant," Nets general manager Sean Marks said earlier this month. "Kyrie has made a personal choice, and we respect his individual right to choose. Currently, his choice restricts his ability to be a full-time member of the team, and we will not permit any member of our team to participate with part-time availability."
Appearing outside of the stadium, anti-vaccine protesters got so violent that the Barclay's Center had to be momentarily closed.
It began peacefully with chants like "Let Kyrie play!" but progressed with protesters breaking through the barricades and rushing the building.
The Nets lost their game Sunday evening.

Congressman publishes death threat calls where attackers are being radicalized to violence by Fox News
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has come under fire by far-right personalities who are plaguing his offices with death threats that cite Fox News as their motivation.
Speaking to CNN's Jim Acosta on Sunday, Swalwell handed over the tapes, laced with profanities and the N-word.
"You people are a disgrace to God, our country and our people. You're the enemy of the United States people (censored). You atheist, communist f*ck are the threat to our democracy, our constitution and our way of life, and as for these foreign invaders that you're letting in this country I hope they chop you up and your family up and feed them to your dogs, you pig. You (censored). And there's your free speech for today, (censored). From Trump nation! Write it down, you little (censored). Trump nation, baby!"
"Now, some of the expletives are bleeped out, the N-word, as well as homophobic slurs," Acosta said of the message. "What does this say not only about the person who left the message but also Fox News?"
According to Swalwell it's part of the Tucker Carlson effect, where Carlson will use a specific line that lies about him, and then that line makes it into threats and attacks left on federal office voicemails.
"You see a straight line from Tucker Carlson lying about me, inciting his viewers, and then aiming them at me, where this caller references Tucker Carlson from the very get of this call that he was just watching Tucker Carlson," he continued. "And I have confronted Tucker a number of times about this. I've told him that his lies have led to death threats against me, against my family. and the fact that he continues to lie about me and so many other's shows, that this is what he wants. He wants his viewers to unleash this type of venom at his targets. And I'm just afraid, Jim, we're going to see more and more political violence in this country as long as Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson are unleashing their hateful propaganda out into the ether."
