Dem shellacks WV GOP chair after she attacks his Army pension: ‘She had no problems sending my ass to Iraq’
Richard Ojeda (U.S. Army)

West Virginia Republican Party Chairwoman Melody Potter on Thursday lashed out at a Democratic state senator for receiving a military pension that he earned while serving in the U.S. military.

In a series of tweets, Potter blasted state Senator Richard Ojeda, a Democrat who served 25 years in the U.S. Army and supported Donald Trump for president.

Ojeda fired back, accusing Potter of never working "a hard day in her life."

Potter escalated the dispute by accusing Ojeda of taking money from the government, which he has earned through serving in the Army.

The attack did not go over well on Twitter, where users assailed Potter for attacking a former member of the military.
