Jimmy Joe James, Jr is being held at the Clackamas County Jail.
An Oregon man is being held in the Clackamas County Jail after allegedly committing hate crimes against a female police officer, KOIN News reported Saturday.
A female Oregon State Police sergeant was arresting Jimmy Joe James Jr. on heroin charges when he allegedly went on a profanity-laden tirade based on the trooper's race and gender.
“Yes, I’m threatening you," James allegedly confirmed after threatening to cut off the trooper's head.
Authorities say he used the n-word and c-word.
The heroin charges were dismissed, but James was charged with 2nd-degree intimidation and is being held on $40,000 bail.
He is also facing a parole violation stemming from a weapons case, for which bail is not being offered.
James pleaded not guilty to the charges.
