An Oregon woman is facing jail time after being found guilty of repeatedly calling two young children the N-word and striking their mom in the head with a beer bottle when she went to complain.

Two African-American boys, aged 4 and 11, were playing in the courtyard of a Southeast Portland apartment complex in September 2016 when they caught the attention of Brenda Mae Glenn, the Oregonian reports.

It's not illegal to call a young child the N-word in Oregon, but it is illegal to hit someone in the head with a 40-ounce bottle of Hurricane malt liqour. Which is what Glenn was found guilty of doing to the boy's mother, Tierra Dizer, when she confronted the woman. Dizer suffered a large bump on her forehead from the assault, police said.

Since she had yelled racist insults at the children before assaulting their mother, prosecutors pursued a hate crime charge. The defense attorney argued that since the racial slurs were only hurled at the children, there was no evidence that her attack on their mother was racially motivated. Judge Henry Hodson allowed her to walk free on those charges.

Glenn moved out of the apartment after the assault but skipped her sentencing on February 22, the Oregonian reports, leaving a voicemail about how "she needed a week to get her affairs in order before sentencing."

She's wanted.
