Fox News pundit Tomi Lahren took time out of her Good Friday observance to post a tweet that appears to attack the Parkland students. Calling herself the “leader of a movement” she offered the survivors advice, while saying they “signed up for” personal attacks – which have been nonstop from the far right.
“If you want to be the leader of a movement, you have to open yourself up for criticism and challenge. Lord knows I take my fair share of attacks and I’m okay with that. It’s what we signed up for. Buck up,” Lahren said. And while she did not specifically mention the Parkland student survivors, most responded believing they were her target, especially given her previous statements.
Just one week ago Lahren earned massive mockery after tweeting, “Simply being anti-NRA is not a solution. March FOR something, not just against everything.”
Many responded, reminding her that the more than 800 protests and rallies were literally called, “March for Our Lives.”
Despite being a 25-year old worth an estimated $3 million who lives in Los Angeles and has a lucrative Fox News contract, just two weeks ago she claimed she is part of “middle America,” in an attack on Hillary Clinton and Democrats.
Lauren’s latest attack on the Parkland students was also met with outrage and consternation:
Um..You are not a leader of anything, you are an "adult"
you havent experienced mass murder at your school…and guess what?
YOU GET PAID

Did you just call yourself the leader of a movement?ADVERTISEMENT
Even the Fox News org chart has you listed as “Vapid Shrieking Barbie #235,177”

Bless your heart, honey. You actually believe you lead anything. That’s precious.ADVERTISEMENT

These kids were backed into a corner, hoping they survive a mass shooting while attending school. They didnt sign up for any of this shit! Buck up? I believe their strength and determination speaks for itself! You buck up and learn some compassion!

I will grant you have been attacked. But not for being a leader. For the stupidity you speak and tweet daily. There isn't one of those kids, I bet, who wouldn't trade going back to having those 17 classmates and teachers alive rather than have this position of leadership.

She thinks she’s a leader. Hahahahahahaha. You follow and support the sexual predator @realDonaldTrump. There’s no glory on that.

You constantly whine. You are totally unable to take criticism.ADVERTISEMENT

Are you serious? You have the gall to compare your being criticized with people who went through a school shooting?
You couldn’t handle the pain and fear those kids sustain every day. Don’t ever try to equate yourself with them.
