Trump celebrates firing of McCabe and denying him his pension with late night tweet calling it a 'great day'

President Donald Trump celebrated the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe just after midnight, hopping on Twitter and calling it a "great day."

Late Friday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe at the last minute, which in effect will deny the 21-year veteran of the FBI his pension after years of service to the country.

Trump was obviously pleased with Sessions' purge of McCabe 26 hours before the longtime civil servant's retirement would go into effect.

Writing on Twitter, Trump stated: "Andrew McCabe FIRED, a great day for the hard working men and women of the FBI - A great day for Democracy. Sanctimonious James Comey was his boss and made McCabe look like a choirboy. He knew all about the lies and corruption going on at the highest levels of the FBI!"
