A dark money political action committee supporting President Donald Trump has hired a former White House staffer who was forced to resign after some of his racist and sexist statements came to light.
Mic reported on Thursday that Carl Higbie will become America First Policies’ director of advocacy.
“Carl Higbie has been a loyal fighter for the America-first agenda since day one,” America First Policies President Brian O. Walsh said in a statement. "His esteemed military leadership and service to our great nation — along with his extensive experience in advocacy, communications and campaigning for candidates for federal office — will make him an invaluable addition to the America First team.”
Earlier this year, CNN revealed that Higbie had made a number of inflammatory statements while working as a radio host.
Higbie accused black Americans of having "lax" and suggested that black women use "breeding [as] a form of government employment."
As a radio host, he assailed veterans by asserting that "75 percent of people with PTSD don't actually have it, and they're either milking something for a little extra money in disability or they're just, they honestly are just lying."
Higbie was also caught calling Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) a "bitch" and said he wanted to "smack" her head together with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
"Her and Pelosi," he quipped. "I'd love to just take both their heads and smack them together a couple of times."
