Senior counselor to President Donald Trump Kellyanne Conway is reportedly on the shortlist to take over the communications department now that Hope Hicks is gone. There's a problem, however, Conway's husband George has been blasting Trump all over Twitter for months.
"If this was your husband, would you tell him to stop? Or would you say, 'look, we both know what I'm doing?'" co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked. "I think it's great. I think it's great he's doing it."
"For her I don't think it's great," Joy Behar said. "It's worse than when her microwave was spying on her."
Sara Haines said it's been a crazy thing to watch Trump constantly pass over Conway, who, she said, should have been his natural choice. "So, the odds of her getting this job, I don't think it's going to go to her," Haines said.
"He doesn't care. Her husband doesn't care. He's tweeting against Trump, she's lying for Trump," Behar continued.
Sunny Hostin said she found the whole thing fascinating.
"He's a lawyer, her husband, and in June of 2017, he was considered by Trump to head the civil division of the Justice Department," she said. "He wasn't nominated. He declined the job and said he didn't want it. He's not been on board with Trump far long, long time."
Behar noted that many lawyers don't want to work for him either.
"Nobody wants to work for him," Goldberg cut in. She then issued a message for George, "Keep it up, honey. Cause whether your wife gets it or not -- stay sane. It's a good thing to stay sane."
