Overnight, a woman was pushing her vehicle that was out of gas in southwest Oklahoma City when Arturo Saavedra allegedly crashed into her.
Saavedra's truck ultimately ended up on top of the woman, but all he cared about was his truck, KFOR reported. Witnesses say that he began screaming about his truck, and noted he didn't care about the woman now injured.
She was trapped under the truck until fire crews arrived and lifted the vehicle off of her. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but is now doing well and is expected to recover.
Saavedra has since been arrested for driving under the influence, not having a state driver's license, failure to devote attention while driving and being involved in an accident while intoxicated.
The police report corroborates witness accounts that the man was shouting about his truck.
