A group of progressive Christians in Virginia are holding a two-day revival this weekend to protest the "toxic" Christianity espoused by evangelicals.

In a video published by the Virginian-Pilot, members of the group Red Letter Christians discussed their "Red Letter Revival" event, which is to be held in Lynchburg, Virginia — the same city where Jerry Falwell's Liberty University is located.

In an interview published February by Religion News Service, RLC's co-director Shane Claiborne said that they're holding the revival to allow Liberty students "to be known for its love for Jesus (rather) than its love for Trump."
