President Donald Trump was up bright and early attacking former FBI Director James Comey for saying in an ABC interview that he believed Hillary Clinton was going to win the 2016 presidential election.

Writing on Twitter, Trump said, "Unbelievably, James Comey states that Polls, where Crooked Hillary was leading, were a factor in the handling (stupidly) of the Clinton Email probe. In other words, he was making decisions based on the fact that he thought she was going to win, and he wanted a job. Slimeball!"

The president is reacting to Comey's statement that he was working under the assumption of Clinton victory when he issued an statement about her emails that later proved to be unfounded.
