WATCH: Christian author tells followers to not vaccinate their kids because 'there's nothing in the Bible' about it

A Christian author recently told her followers on Facebook to avoid taking vaccines because they were never mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

Per Patheos, Christian wellness author Brittney Kara last week posted a video to her Facebook account that took Christians to task for vaccinating their children.

"There's nothing in the Bible that talks about vaccines," she says. "So, just want you guys to think about that. So if God knew in the future that He was going to help create these amazing things that were gonna just change our health and be the best, you know, scientific advancement in human society ever, and it’s just, 'Oh my gosh, they’re so great,' like, why isn’t there anything... any inkling of talk about these things called 'vaccinations' coming into being later to save people?"

In addition to being against vaccinations, Kara has also written a book called "The Silent Scandal" that argues against eating genetically modified foods. Kara bills herself as a wellness expert who promotes "teaching people how to detoxify their lives through cleansing and super foods."
