In a much-anticipated interview timed to the release of his new book "The Hellfire Club," CNN's Jake Tapper revealed to daytime TV host Ellen DeGeneres that he held a flame for her during her TV debut in the 1980's.
"I have to say, I have known of you since the late 1980s," the CNN anchor told DeGeneres. "I was a big fan of a little show called 'Open House,' your first big break. And I would also like to go on and confess that I had a rather large crush on you at the time, so this is a little odd for me."
"Oh!" the host replied. "Sorry to disappoint."
"I made my peace with it some time ago," Tapper said.
