On Wednesday, Fox News host Shepard Smith mocked Donald Trump for taking the teachable moment offered by the public outcry over Roseanne Barr's racist tweets—and making the controversy all about himself.
Trump has yet to clearly denounce Barr for the tweets, a situation reminiscent of his refusal to unequivocally denounce fascist rallies in Charlottesville.
Instead, as Smith pointed out, Trump is making the controversy all about himself and tweeting out aggrieved attacks against journalists.
"Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize?" Smith said of the President's complaints that journalists haven't said "sorry" to him for critical coverage.
